When ideas fail, words come in very handy.

Developing your vocabulary, increasing the number of words you are able to use has numerous benefits. It doesn’t mean you use long words to show off. It does mean you understand more when listening or reading though and you can contribute more when speaking or writing. Your language can be expressive, interesting and colourful.

Most people boost their word ‘database’ through reading which in turn can open your mind to new ideas and viewpoints. This has benefits both socially and professionally enabling you to participate on an equal footing with those around you. Your confidence and fluency then grow accordingly.
